This website includes a selection of my personal top wines as approved by me and/or my customers at M&S Prescot, or that I've found at other wine retailers, such as The Co-op.

These are mainly just M&S wines and either my personal experience, or customer feedback. If I find other wines on my adventures that are worthy of mention then I'll add them too.

As well as wine recommendations I've also included some places that I've visited and some hints and tips about selecting the right wines.

I visited the Adgestone Vineyard in the Isle of Wight in 2021, so I've added the details below as I would highly recommend a visit if you are ever over there.
I visited the Carr Taylor Vineyard in Hastings in September 2023 and I'll add that below. A large vineyard with White, Rosé & Sparkling wines.

Okay so it's Cider and not Wine but I've added Dunham Press Cider, Altrincham, Cheshire too as I was lucky enough to visit the farm on a lovely sunny day. Another place I would recommend to visit and try some of their ciders.

Adgestone Vineyard, Brading

Isle of Wight. PO36 0ES

I had the privilege of visiting this independent vineyard, on the Isle of Wight in 2021, and I would highly recommend their wines and a tour if you get the opportunity. The audio tour is very informative.

Their wines are produced in a near organic method with very few additives.
These are wines to be drunk soon after purchase and not stored for the future, due to lack of preservatives.

Due to the small size of this vineyard availability is limited. Prices are generally higher than for large volume vineyards but the wine is worth it.

I visited this with St Helens CAMRA in May 2023 and would highly recommend that you try their ciders. The prices listed below were correct at the time of my visit and are subject to change.

They have some truly unique ciders, some in 75cl bottles, that really are worth trying, such as Little Red Devil £12.50 75cl, lightly sparkling red apple.

Pop over there and you may get free tasters of 2 or 3 ciders, depending on what they have available. Tasting Trays of 4 ciders are available for around £10.00
