Current price range for M&S red wines is from £5.75 up to £30.00
I generally recommend £8-£9 wines, although a full bodied treat may cost £10-£12

Chilling Red Wines:
(A) Light Bodied wines can be lightly chilled - up to 1 hour.
(B) Medium bodied wines can be lightly chilled too but less recommended, no more than 20 minutes.
(C) Full Bodied wines must not be chilled, in fact they are best decanted, at least opened to the air before drinking.

All the following wines are from M&S unless otherwise stated, starting off with the entry level wines.

M&S Tierra Y Hombre Pinot Noir - £7.50

Alcohol content: 13.5% (Vegan)
Grape Variety: Pinot Noir
Country of Origin: Chile - Casablanca Valley

A smooth and fruity red wine with hints of berry, violet and spice.
This light-bodied wine pairs well with tuna, pork and duck.

Less popular than it used to be, with a previous label design. Still a good choice

M&S Found Marzemino - £8.00

Alcohol content: 12.0% (Vegan)
Grape Variety: Marzemino
Country of Origin: North East Italy

Darkly coloured but produce smooth, fresh and fruity wines, which match perfectly with Italian cuisine.

Pair with Canederli, dumplings in a beef broth.

Generally light in flavour - an alternative to Pinot Noir
Recommended by one of my Italian customers.

M&S Beaujolais - £10.00

Alcohol content: 13.0% (Vegan)
Grape Variety: Gamay
Country of Origin: France - Southern Burgundy

An unoaked red wine with flavours of cherries and redcurrants.
Serve lightly chilled with cold meats and quiches.
Best enjoyed within a year.

Tried & Enjoyed a few years ago. Has unfortunately increased in price from around £8

Medium Bodied Wines

M&S Found Refosco - £8.50

Alcohol content: 13.0% (Vegan)
Grape Variety: Refosco
Country of Origin: Northeast Italy

Deeply coloured and fruity with flavours of wild berries, crunchy plums and a twist of bitter cherries and herbs.
Perfect with red meats and milk cheeses. Try with mushroom and truffle pasta.

Grape Variety: Garnacha, Tempranillo & Cariñena
Country of Origin: Northeast Spain - Cariñena

This velvety Spanish red. Matured in oak, the wine may form a harmless sediment in the bottle.
