I had the privilege of visiting this independent vineyard, on the Isle of Wight in 2021, and I would highly recommend their wines and a tour if you get the opportunity. The audio tour is very informative.
Their wines are produced in a near organic method with very few additives.
These are wines to be drunk soon after purchase and not stored for the future, due to lack of preservatives.
Due to the small size of this vineyard availability is limited. Prices are generally higher than for large volume vineyards but the wine is definitely worth it.
I visited this vineyard in September 2023, on an extremely hot day.
UNFORTUNATELY THIS VINEYARD CLOSED IN 2025
Carr Taylor Wines Ltd went into liquidation in August 2025
I visited this with St Helens CAMRA in May 2023 and would highly recommend that you try their ciders. The prices listed below were correct at the time of my visit and are subject to change.
They have some truly unique ciders, some in 75cl bottles, that really are worth trying, such as Little Red Devil £12.50 75cl, lightly sparkling red apple.
Pop over there and you may get free tasters of 2 or 3 ciders, depending on what they have available. Tasting Trays of 4 ciders are available for around £10.00
